The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is recognized as an innovative leader in government policy. All published reports are collected by the State Library of Massachusetts and published in a product called the Checklist.

On a quarterly basis, you will receive all publications that appear in the "Checklist," issued by the State Library of Massachusetts. All of these publications are fully cataloged and entered into the OCLC database; there is a keyword index at the end of each Checklist to assist in accessing the documents.

The Checklist provides the reader with many different types of information about the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Investigative reports include reports from the office of inspector general of Massachusetts; post audit reports from the house of representatives and the senate of Massachusetts and attorney general's report on fraud and abuse in such areas as the tobacco industry, HMO operations and others; education documents include reports on special education, standard test results, charter school applications, school health and reports on education reform; environment documents include studies on water quality, recycling, newsletters and waste site cleanup; governor's commissions; corrections and public safety features reports and statistics (including hate crimes); general publications include sexual harassment in government and campaign/political finance reports and advisory opinions.
