"The State Papers Foreign for the period 1592 to 1603 -- a central source for English and European history -- are totally uncalendared and have until now only been available by personal visit to the Public Record Office. They are an essential complement to the magnificent State Papers Domestic already available" -- Micheal Hawkins

This section of the State Papers Foreign has never been calendared, yet it remains a central source for English and European history and a complement to the Primary Source Microfilm collection State Papers Domestic.
These immensely important papers are arranged under the countries to which they relate, and are in the form of correspondence from emissaries, local governors and officials. They are addressed primarily to Lord Burghley (until his death), the Queen and other government officials.
In addition, the relevant sections of the Public Records Office's Round Room lists are reproduced at the beginning of each reel.
