This collection presents documents from the Harlan Paul Douglass Collection organized by the National Council of Churches as an ongoing collection of original field studies and investigations into the conditions of religion in the United States.

The majority of the works in the collection are sociological in nature, reflecting Reverend Douglass' interests as a clergyman and professor of psychology and philosophy.
