Michael travels extensively, visiting schools and spreading the word that "Reading Is Magic." Debbie is an educator and writes a weekly column highlighting new children's books. Debbie and Michael live in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Irving Toddy has illustrated several other children's books including Bird-Talk, Cheyenne Again, and Uncegila's Seventh Spot. His paintings can be found in several art galleries across the Southwest. He is a Navajo Native American and lives on the Navajo reservation in Pine Springs, Arizona.
