Comprehensive, current, and easy to use, the Biography Resource Center contains more than 440,000 biographies on more than 340,000 people from around the world and throughout history. It combines more than 135 frequently consulted Gale biographical sources with more than 325 full-text periodicals and journals, more than 27,000 portraits and thousands of Recent News briefs on high-interest individuals. Whether users want to learn about past and present noteworthy figures for their own personal benefit or need a starting point for more in-depth research on a particular event, country or era, the information presented in Biography Resource Center makes it the first source to turn to for:

In-depth biographies -- biographical profiles that provide an extensive look at the featured individual's life and his or her accomplishments
Brief biographies -- concise biographies that contain key facts
Full-text magazine articles -- selected articles that amplify and update the in-depth biographies and brief biographies, and provide information on individuals not yet profiled in the Biography Resource Center database

Marquis Who's Who® Module: The Marquis Who's Who® add-on module to Biography Resource Center features more than 1 million additional brief biographies on the most accomplished individuals from around the world and all fields of endeavor including government, business, science and technology, the arts, entertainment, and sports. Biographies include birth information, family, education and degree, career history, creative works, awards, military history, achievements, current memberships, interests/hobbies, and contact information. Marquis biographies are fully integrated within Biography Resource Center, allowing researchers easy, single-search access to all of the information available on an individual.

To further enhance this invaluable resource, we're pleased to announce the launch of the Biography Resource Center: Lives & Perspectives Collection. This optional new module supplements your Biography Resource Center with nearly 160,000 biographies drawn from a range of highly respected academic reference titles such as American Men & Women of Science, Governments of the World, Encyclopedia of African-American Culture and History and the Dartmouth Medal-winning Encyclopaedia Judaica.
