Review:

"In the 2d edition of Learning & Memory Macmillan Reference has provided an excellent resource for the theoretical underpinnings of educational psychology, learning, and memory. As a thorough revision of the 1st edition, this resource has been updated to reflect the most up-to-date information about learning and memory and includes a number of new entries. The book contains a large amount of information in a single volume, and the entries were written by a distinguished list of contributors. These entries are well written and fairly easy to understand for an undergraduate-level reader.
The book is well laid out for ease of use. The indexing is complete, and there are plenty of see and see also notes to guide the user in his or her search for information. A bibliography at the end of each entry guides the reader to further information if needed. The illustrations and charts are clear and generally informative. The only things missing from this resource are color illustrations, which would have been useful for clarifying many of the entries. Overall, this book will be a useful addition for academic libraries, and the price is low enough that larger public libraries with patrons working on rather in-depth psychological reading could purchase it as well."
