The Postclassic saw new social features appear as a result of different factors such as the fall of Teotihuacán and the birth of the new cities. In this production, we will deal with subjects that will simply teach us, the general characteristics of this cultural horizon that was common to all the Mesoamerican territories.

En el pasado se creia que el origen del Posclasico estaba ligado intimamente a la caida de Teotihuacan; sin embargo, a la luz de las nuevas investigaciones, esta suposicion ha sido desechada, en virtud de que hay mas de 200 anos de diferencia entre uno y otro evento. Por el contrario, debe verse mas como un producto de la recomposicion politica de las sociedades de la epoca, una vez superados los efectos del colapso de los grandes centros del Periodo Clasico.
