In the past, finding information on African Americans in science and technology required gathering numerous sources, many of which were either not comprehensive or outdated. With African American Firsts in Science and Technology, you now have solid information on 1,500 contributions of African Americans throughout the history of the United States in one complete, convenient volume.
Each entry is arranged chronologically, ranges from 50 to 100 words, which includes data associated with the accomplishment, followed by a description of the contribution; a brief biography of the individuals involved; and citations for up to five published sources of additional information.
