This installation of the People in the News series follows the spectacular and often controversial career of baseball player Alex Rodriguez, or A-Rod. Beginning with a brief account of Rodriguez's difficult childhood and early athletic achievements, the book then focuses on his major league positions with the Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, and New York Yankees. It covers his multiple record-breaking seasons as well as the controversies surrounding his steroid use and romantic life.
