FBI File on the Ku Klux Klan Murder of Viola Liuzzo

  • Published by Scholarly Resources, Inc.

On March 25, 1965, after participating in a civil rights march, Viola Liuzzo was shot to death by four members of the Ku Klux Klan. The FBI solved the crime within eight hours, primarily because one of the men in the Klansmen's car was an FBI informant. Like the "Mississippi Burning" investigation, this was one of the first cases to test the new Civil Rights Act. The file on this important case contains FBI letters, memorandums, teletypes, and investigation reports.
