Distributed for the Nat. Women's History Project
Herstory is the only comprehensive collection of materials produced by and about the women's movement. The efforts that ultimately saw women in such positions as prime minister, Supreme Court justice, and combat soldier are thoroughly documented here.
Assembled from the International Women's History (Periodical) Archive at the Women's History Research Center, this publication includes 821 newsletters, journals, and newspapers on women's issues produced by civic, professional, religious, and political groups. Most of the material dates from the crucial years 1968-1974, with some titles dating as far back as 1956. The arrangement of the publication reflects the order in which the original collection was formed:
Herstory I -- 317 titles covering - 1956 through September 1971.
Supplementary Set I -- additional titles from Herstory I and an update through June 1973.
Supplementary Set II -- adds titles to the first two - sections and updates through June 1974.
Within the various sections, titles appear in alphabetical order.
Please call your sales representative for details on this collection. This collection, the most extensive available, will prove to be required not only for studying the women's movement as a whole but also for tracing the histories of the specific organizations that fueled it.
