On Color: The Faber Birren Book Collection encompasses 497 books from Yale University's Art and Architecture Library and the Royal College of Art in London. The resulting collection on microfilm is one of the finest studies of color in the world.

Faber Birren has written a number of works including 27 books and 245 articles on color theory and psychology as they relate to the arts and sciences. His studies have made him a pioneer in the functional applications of color within the work environment. The written works included in this collection reflect the various implications of the physiological and psychological aspects of perception and color.
