In 1965, the underground and alternative press did not exist. In the late 1960s, it emerged as the voice of "The Great Rejection," the repudiation of the advanced Western capitalist version of the future. A serious and large-scale development, it remains part of a series of social movements that have developed simultaneously.
This extensive collection includes all the important papers from the "hot media" of the counterculture, with complete sets of the International Times, OZ and Private Eye, as well as papers from great cities, community papers and national, regional and local coverage.
