Encyclopedia of Associations: International Organizations

An Associations Unlimited Reference

  • Published by Gale

This classic 3-vol. reference covers multinational and national membership organizations from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe - including U.S.-based organizations with a binational or multinational membership. Entries provide the names of directors, executive officers or other personal contacts; telephone, fax, telex, electronic mail, websites and bulletin boards; the group's history, governance, staff, membership, budget and affiliations; the goals and activities of the international organization, including research, awards, certification, education, lobbying and other important activities; and publication and convention information. Entries are arranged in general subject chapters allowing users to browse in sections that interest them. Three indexes — geographic, executive and keyword — help speed research.

"The Encyclopedia of Associations (EA) and its partner volume, the Encyclopedia of Associations: International Organizations (IO), connect users to the contact and descriptive information they seek concerning U.S. and international associations and organizations. This 37th edition EA contains detailed information on 22,000 nonprofit organizations throughout the United States...40 percent of the contact infromation has been altered since the last edition."
