The 20th century seemed to be one in which more genocides were recorded than at any other time in history. Beginning with the Armenian genocide in 1915, the killing fields of Cambodia are discussed among others. This century also provided the means to broadcast the genocidal movements such as Hitler's treatment of anyone he considered his enemy, but especially his anti-Semitic propaganda. The role of radio broadcasts as they relate to the situation Rwanda was critical to getting the Hutus to kill their Tutsi neighbors because they were told this was essential in order to survive. Discussing genocide is only a very small start in working to halt killing, but it is a start. Chapter titles include "Defining Genocide," "The Origins of Genocide" and "The Prevention of Genocide." Appendixes include "Organizations to Contact" and a brief bibliography.
