Diseases and Disorders

Students in health classes may be asked to study different diseases and disorders for their classes. This series is a good beginning. It covers what causes the disease or disorder, its treatment, how people affected manage their lives, and information on prevention and treatment. Each volume in the series has a common format: the same number of pages, 5 (and in one case 6) chapters, 1-2-page glossary, 1-2 pages of organizations to contact, and a 1-2 page bibliography. Sidebar boxes expand the text. Illustrations include color photographs and graphics. These are good introductions to diseases and disorders
