Introducing Issues with Opposing Viewpoints

The editors of this series feel that Introducing Issues with Opposing Viewpoints simplifies for students the enormous and often overwhelming mass of material now available via print and electronic media." Books have the same number of pages, offer three chapters each posing a question, and end with two pages of facts about the topic, five pages of organizations to contact, and a four-page bibliography with books and Web sites. Color photographs, charts, maps, cartoons, and billboards illustrate the text. Small boxes inserted in the text offer one sentence "Fast Facts." At the end of each article an insert provides a sentence on how to evaluate the author’s comments.
