We understand you may have questions about the recent news that Thomson Learning’s parent company, The Thomson Corporation, plans to sell its Thomson Learning business, which includes Thomson Gale. Here are some frequently asked questions and answers about this sale and how it will affect our business with you.

Why is The Thomson Corporation selling Thomson Learning?
Thomson Learning is fully committed to the library and learning space and, as such, no longer fits with The Thomson Corporation’s long-term strategy of providing business professionals with electronic solutions.

Who will buy Thomson Learning?
It is premature totalk about who the likely buyer of Thomson Learning will be, however, it is not too early to say that this move will enable usto focus exclusively on more fully serving and satisfying our customers’ needs.

When will I know who the buyer is?
We will provide you with information as ongoing decisions are made; we stand by the principle that when we know, you’ll know.

What business processes will change once The Thomson Corporation sells Thomson Learning?
We don’t have all of the answers right now regarding what business processes may change once the sale is complete, but we assure you that customer satisfaction has been, and continues to be, our top priority.

Will my contract(s) be honored after the sale?
Yes. As stated in our contract(s), Thomson Gale will continue to honor its obligations in the event of a change of control.

Can I still contact my Thomson Gale Sales Representative to place an order or to answer questions about my products?
Yes. Your Thomson Gale Sales Representative is available to help you, just as they always are.

Can I still call 1-800-877-4253 with inquiries?
Yes. Customer Service Representatives are available to answer your calls Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST.

Who do I contact for technical support?
Technical support continues to be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week when you call 1-800-877-4253 (Option 4).

Where do I send payments?
You can continue to direct your inquiries for duplicate invoices, invoice clarification, order status, or billing and shipping issues to Thomson Gale Customer Service at 1-800-877-4253 (Option 3), or by writing to:
