THE HOUSE OF GOLD: Coming in November The Golden Horus is a physical monument to the Egyptian god fashioned in gold with an inlay of four perfect emeralds and a large, flawless, yellow diamond. Smuggled to America by archeologist Robert Ingall, Geraldi has finally succeeded in stealing this treasure back from a group of international jewel thieves and returns it to Mary Ingall, the deceased archeologist's daughter, only for Geraldi himself now to have become the focus of the thieves who surround Mary Ingall's house, intent on killing him. Later the thief of thieves is approached by two men, one of whom, Darcy, sought unsuccessfully to break into the ancient safe in the basement of the Naylor Ranch, a giant spread manned by aged Pike Naylor and his sons. Darcy was caught with the loot he had stolen. Instead of killing him, the Naylors bound him to a tree and nailed his hands to the tree's trunk. Now, Darcy and his associate, a man named Cullen who was formerly an
enemy of Geraldi's, persuade Geraldi to join them in a new effort to crack
the Naylors' safe. Geraldi agrees, for the thrill of it rather than just
for the money, but it turns out to be a caper that proves to be much more
than he had ever bargained for. |
