Search 1:

Solution:

1. Open The Scribner Writers Series and go to the "Writers A-Z" page.
2. Click on "Z" and then on "ZECHARIAH" to retrieve an essay on "Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi". In this essay is a concise biography of Zechariah.

Search 2:

How can one get a list of Renaissance period writers so that one can be selected for an English literature class research project?

Solution:

1. Open The Scribner Writers Series and go to the "Research Ideas" page.
2. Click on the "Renaissance Writers" link to retrieve a list of writers from this literary time period.

Search 3:

A student wanted to write a report on a South African author who has written in the area of children's literature.

Solution:

1. Opened The Scribner Writers Series and went to the "In-Depth Search" page.
2. Selected "Children's Literature" in the "Genre" box.
3. Selected "South African" in the "Nationality/Ethnicity" box.
4. Clicked on the "Search" button and retrieved two authors:

Search 4:

Solution:

2. Clicked on the "Modern Playwrights" link to retrieve a list of playwrights from the modern era.
3. Clicked on the "Williams, Tennessee" link and retrieved a biographical essay about him that included a list of works.

Solution:
