The Search Box
Enter any word or phrase in the blank Search Box. Then, select one of the radio buttons in front of the words Keyword, Subject, or Entire Document to choose the type of search to conduct. Users can also limit their results to full-text articles, consumer health only content, refereed or peer-reviewed entries or Spanish-only results.
Diseases & Conditions
Browse through the listings of over 900 disease and condition overviews from the Gale Encyclopedia of Medicine. Links to overviews of top-searched conditions are available on the home page, while selecting the More>> link will take you to the complete A-Z list.
Search for drugs by their generic, brand or trade name from various Thomson Healthcare and Micromedex drug guides. Or search the Alternative Health Module for access to herbal remedy information.
Search the three volumes of Gale’s Medical Health Information Directory, updated annually, for up-to-date contact and general information for various health service agencies, companies, institutions, and people.
