The archive contains materials that cover activism and social justice issues, highlight disabilities in LGBTQ+ society, offer information around alternative sexualities, document interactions between sexuality and religion, and represent diverse ethnic communities across North America.

History of Disabilities: Disabilities in Society, Seventeenth to Twentieth Century: An Overview 

With this collection we will explore material demonstrating how people with disabilities have worked for equal rights through activism and advocacy, and gained access to firsthand experiences through memoirs, letters, and more. Also included in this archive are papers, pamphlets, manuscripts, books, research materials, and more, which delve into institutional treatment from a medical humanities perspective.
